Continued....
First of all, a riot is "unrestrained."
You can try all you want - as the police in
L.A. did - but you cannot control it. The fury
is so great, the passion so deep, that there
is no restraining it. There are no rules - rioters
make their own rules. A riot is like a wildfire
in the forest that cannot be contained. Get
out of the way, or be blown out of its way.
A riot is a "uproar." It is like
an explosion. In fact, the purpose of a riot
is to get noticed. The louder the uproar, the
more it will be noticed. Like an earthquake
to the people who are watching the riot from
afar, it lets them know the seriousness of the
matter.
With the use of modern technology, such as
the internet, video equipment, etc. we are taking
a radical (non traditional) approach in our
efforts to teach the youth truth. That is the
truth about God, His word and the bible. We
are seeking to use whatever means available
to impart the Word of God into their lives and
cause them to be on fire for God. That is to
be unrestrained in their emotions and\or actions
when it comes to expressing their love for God
and his written and spoken word.
The topics are bold, they are current and it
as always about the gospel and how it relates
to our lives.
We have movie days and nights. We will have
fun nights where board and video games are played
and some entertainment provided. There will
be skits performed during special occasions
and special speakers. All teens are welcomed
and invited to attend our Wednesday night services
as well as to become a member of the Church
of the Living God.
